⚠️My secret to a successful week.

It's on my to do list every Thursday—meal plan and make a grocery list.

I'll be honest, even though I have created a bunch of printables to make this task easy, it's still my least favorite task of the entire week!

If I ever skip this task, the following week is a disaster—I am scrambling at 4 pm everyday, making multiple trips to the grocery store during the week and my family is not fed very well.

When I come to the task on my to do list each week, I hear that little voice of James Clear, who wrote Atomic Habits, in my head saying, "The costs of your good habits are in the present. The costs of your bad habits are in the future."

And so I move forward.

1. I grab my Dinner Ideas List (this is what makes this task go fast).

2. Print off a copy of my menu planner and and my calendar. I plug and play from the Dinner Ideas List meals that fit our schedule for each day.

3. Last, I take a quick peek at my recipes and add any ingredients to my grocery list.

It takes 10 minutes. And it's worth it every time.

Have a great weekend!

Hey Reader, We tend to drive our vehicles until they are no longer drivable which means we need to keep them serviced in order to max out the milage. Just last week we had some work done on our 2010 Hyundai. This service got added to our Vehicle Maintenance Log. Since we have 4 cars, keeping track of maintenance, recalls, fixes and more can be a lot. Using the Vehicle Maintenance Log (we keep one for each car) make tracking super easy. It may be that you only have 1 car—no matter how many you...

Hey Reader, I can guarantee that in your house you have at least one (but probably way more) subscription that is on auto-charge. Maybe - a streaming service? - a gym membership? - Amazon Prime -this list could go on and on. The average home spends $273/mo. on subscriptions! WOAH! REALITY: Most of these services we have set up to auto renew and we don't really know when they renew or keep track of how much each one costs. Well, it's time to stop the madness and unnecessary money flying out...
